Chloe

January 2011

Drawing of Grandchild Chloe aged 2, drawn in pencil, done whilst away on holiday in 2010.

This rather angelic portrait belies the real Chloe, whose mother calls her Devilchild, and is a constant source of humour in the household. This was done about three years ago, she has changed, and am going to attempt a more recent drawing of her soon, if I can get her to stand still long enough.

Ben

January 2011

This is grandson Ben, brother of Chloe, and the reason that I started drawing again,
Now aged nearly seven he has lived with us since being born, as he was our first grandchild, He can twist me round his finger anytime, always around and on the go, someone who loves to be outside he has always been a constant companion out in the garden. This is a rare picture as he always poses in front of a camera, and is difficult to capture the real Ben.

Piran

January 2011

This is Piran.
Once again drawn in Graphite he is Grandchild number 3, this one never stops smiling, here he is aged about 14 months,  unfortunately he lives in Sussex so we don't get to see him very often, but he always makes up for it when here as he is such a happy soul.
Soon to have a sister, I  am looking forward to drawing the pair of them together.

January 2011

This is a picture of my father in his twenties, drawn in Graphite, taken from a photograph. This drawing is the first I did for quite a few years and  gave me a lot of pleasure as we lost him a few years ago.
Most of my drawings are in pencil, though later I will  post efforts in watercolour and acrylics that I have attempted.
The reasons for posting these are for personal reasons so that other members of my family can view them, along with our friends, if  by any chance you happen across them please enjoy them as I did drawing them.

Welcome to my Art Box

I am from St Day in Cornwall, and in the past few years I have taken up drawing and painting in my spare time and wanted a platform to display my work. I hope that my family, friends, and any others interested to look can enjoy my work, and the pleasure that it gives me.

The inspiration to start drawing again has been the addition of grandchildren within the family, this started me wanting to draw again after so many years idle.

I hope that you like my work, if you have any questions please leave a comment or email me directly.
